Looking ahead.....Winter PAC meeting will be held Monday, October 30th, at 6:00 p.m. Athletes and their parents are reminded to go the school web-site, select athletics tab and register for winter sport. Even if you have been out for a fall sport you still need to log into your family account and register for the winter sport. Activity fees should be paid online at the school store. Activity fee for grades 7-8: $80 grades 9-12: $105 Family max for the year $360. If you are going to reach the family maximum for the winter season contact Nancy in the office.
Members of the jv and varsity cross country teams should be released at 1:45. Reminder: Bus will leave Zumbrota at 1:55.
Attention morning Lego Robotics students - due to the short week we will be meeting on WEDNESDAY (tomorrow) morning instead of Thursday.

Seniors who complete their application for admission to the University of MN. Twin Cities campus are invited to participate in the U of M Share My App Program. By participating in this program, students can also apply for admission at one or more additional campuses of the University of Minnesota system with no additional application and no additional application fee. Students should share their completed application prior to November 15th to be considered for UMR’s Scholarship Competition.
9-12th grade - it's time to pre-order your 2017-2018 yearbook. You get extra perks for buying early. If you buy before October 27 the cost is $50 + tax and you can get 4 free icons if you order personalization. Juniors who plan on attending the college fair at RCTC on October 26th, should turn in their permission slips by Wednesday, October 18th.
Dance Team try-outs will begin Monday, October 23rd at 3:30pm.

Registration forms are out for the next Drivers Ed Class. Class will start end of October and is open to anyone who is 15 years of age by May 31st, 2018. Pick up forms at the offices or register online.

There will be a meeting on Thursday, November 9, at 6:00 p.m. for students in grades 7-12 and their parents who may be interested in auditioning for this years musical.
Any junior boy or girl interested in applying for the Minnesota State High School League's ExCel award, please stop and see Mr. Anderson. Deadline for the online application is due December 15. Last year, ZM's very own Lauren Miller was a recipient.
The 2017 yearbooks have been handed out; if you didn't buy one last year and would still like to purchase one you can do so. Please bring a check made out to ZM Schools to Mrs. Prod this week. You will be able to preorder your 2018 yearbook in a few weeks, watch the announcements - the earlier in the year you buy, the cheaper they are!
Juniors, you will have the opportunity to attend the college fair at RCTC at the end of October, however, the National College Fair is held in Minneapolis on Sept. 27th and 28th. If you would like to go to this you can certainly go with your parents. If you would like more information on this see Ms. Hunstad. Or you can preregister for it at www.gotocollegefairs.com A letter will be sent all juniors regarding the RCTC college fair at a later date.
Mayo Clinic is hosting 3 open houses during October and November for a variety of different medical careers. These all take place in the evening. If you are interested email Ms. Hunstad and she will send you the link with the information. The information is also on the school website on Ms. Hunstad's page.
On Wednesdays, Sara from RCTC will be here again every Wednesday afternoon. Sara is a transitions specialist coordinator who will work with juniors and seniors on things like financial aid, choosing a major, etc. You do not need to be going to RCTC in order to meet with her. See Ms. Hunstad if you would like to meet with her.
Seniors you may not have the same hallway but there are still two bulletin boards outside the counseling office that might have some good information for you to check out.
