2017 Levy Information

The communities of Zumbrota and Mazeppa are committed to their children’s learning and their future. This commitment is expressed by ZM Schools’ mission of “Building a bridge to the future where all individuals have the opportunity to reach their full potential in a safe, challenging learning environment”. Consistent with that mission, ISD 2805 will pursue a referendum on November 7, 2017. Two questions will be placed on the ballot – the first one asks voters to renew an expiring levy for ten years. Because Question 1 extends an expiring levy at the same dollar amount, it is not expected to cause any significant changes in property taxes. Please click the link below for specifics on how this levy impacts an individual property owner.

The second ballot question asks voters to approve an increase in general education revenue by an additional $313.63 per pupil for ten years. Passage of this levy will result in new taxes and, for Question 2 to be enacted, Question 1 must first be approved by voters.
