State Honor Choir

Congratulations to Zumbrota Mazeppa students Ashley Aaby, Makayla Rodriguez and Kyle Moyer!   The three 8th grade singers recently participated in the American Choral Director’s Association of Minnesota State 7-8 Honor Choirs.

This year’s State 7-8 SSA Honor Choir was conducted by composer and director Kari Lace from Burnsville, Minnesota. Lace recently retired from Jackson Middle School in the Anoka/Hennepin School District after 27 years of teaching.  Ashley and Makayla represented ZM well, singing alto and first soprano respectively, in the choir of 150 voices.

All-Star Football Game

Congratulations to Jacob Bennett who will represent the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Football Program during the 46th Annual Minnesota High School All Star Football Game. This game will take place during the Minnesota Football Showcase on Saturday, December 15th.

Task Force Continues Its Work

This past summer Zumbrota-Mazeppa Schools created a community task force to study and make a recommendation for future facility needs for the school district.  Community volunteers responded to the district’s open invite to participate. Since this time the group has been meeting and is nearing a recommendation to the Zumbrota-Mazeppa school board.  The facility recommendation is expected to be made in January.

FCCLA Partners with Lions

FCCLA (Family, Career, Community Leaders of America) has joined forces with the Zumbrota and Mazeppa Lions clubs to become the new ZM FCCLA/Leo Club. FCCLA students will work with our Lions partners through various community outreach, service learning, and leadership trainings. The FCCLA club is excited to begin this new partnership and will use it to strengthen our communities, while providing students with resume building opportunities.

Triple A Award Winners

ZM is proud to announce that Blake Stiller and Lana Yeakel were named this year's Triple A award winners.
