Pre-College Biology

Pre-College biology is for the student who has taken physical science as a freshmen and obtained at least a B in the class.  This class covers the Minnnesota Life Science standards in depth in an analytical manner with emphasis; it will be assumed scientific vocabulary has already been mastered. The topics range from organic compounds, cells, ecology, pathology, and animals to genetics and evolution.

Health 10

This is a semester long course where students will learn and practice lifelong health skills related to:

Personal Goal Setting

CPR

Human Sexuality

Death/Dying/Grief

Mental Health

Nutrition

Alcohol, Tobacco, and other Drugs

Health 8

This is a quarter long class dedicated to lifelong health skills in the area of Mental health and Relationships.

Woodworking

Students in Woodworking learn how to use hand tools and power tools to create a beginner/intermediate woodworking project. Once students have experience using the tools and machines they design, plan and create a project of their choosing.

Advanced Woods

Students in Advanced Woods use the knowledge and experience gained in Woodworking to build more advanced projects. This year we are building Bed Stands. After completing the Bed Stand projects, we will begin building the Cabinets for the 2015-2016 Zumbrota-Mazeppa Construction House project.

Advanced Algebra

Prerequisite: Algebra I and Geometry /Student may take Geometry concurrent with teacher approval

College Algebra

Prerequisites:
•Be at least 16 years old.
•Pass the ACCUPLCR exam.
•Juniors must be in the top 1/3 of their class and seniors the top 1/2 of their class.
•Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.
•Completed Algebra in HS or Intermediate Algebra on ITV
