Get on Board the SHIP
Zumbrota-Mazeppa Schools are very excited to offer our K-6 grade students a healthy snack option each day. The healthy snack cart will be available daily where students can choose a nutritious snack for a minimal cost. This snack cart has been made possible through funding from the Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP) of the Minnesota Department of Health.
We know that most children do not get enough fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. Research has shown that five fruits and vegetables a day are the minimum requirement for good health, and years down the road they can reduce heart disease and cancer. ZM Schools would like to offer your child a daily healthy snack to help encourage the 5 a Day habit! We are able to order fruit, vegetables, and other healthy options in bulk reducing the cost for you. The cost break down is $0.23 cents per day x 173 school days -- only $40.00 for the WHOLE SCHOOL YEAR!
There will be several choices each day for students to choose from. Sample items may include: oranges, animal crackers, cinnamon sticks, bananas, Goldfish Pretzels, Goldfish Cheddar crackers, Teddy Grahams, apples, celery, yogurt, bagels with jelly, or baby carrots.

Be Part of the Elementary's Vision
The elementary school needs your help! The vision at the elementary school is "Imagine the Possibilities at ZMES". As our students imagine what their futures might hold, it is our goal to fill our hallways with pictures of past students. Pictures of graduates from Mazeppa, Zumbrota, or Zumbrota-Mazeppa in their work setting would be greatly appreciated. With the picture, please include the name, year of graduation and current occupation.
