Mayo Clinic Open houses
You will find attached web cards for three events happening in October and November here at Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences. These activities will NOT include information about becoming a doctor or nurse.
The open house is a chance for prospective students and teachers/advisors/counselors to learn about 21 different programs within MCSHS and do some hands on stuff as well as talk to current students, program directors and faculty. Some programs will also offer tours of their classrooms and/or lab.
The website is in the process of being update but feel free to check back in the next couple of weeks for more information.
Respiratory Care Discovery Lab-
This discovery lab is for high school and college students who may be interested in respiratory care or are unsure of the career but want to learn more about it. Students will be able to participate in hands on activities, meet with current students and faculty. They will get an in depth knowledge of what role the respiratory therapist plays in the day to day care of patients.
Imaging Open House-
The Imaging Open House will include information on Radiography, Sonography, and Nuclear Medicine programs and careers. This will include tours to the imaging areas as well as the classrooms and lab. If students want to know more about these programs, this would be a great opportunity to do so.
Please share these events with your students and colleagues and feel free to post in your schools as well. If you would like actual physical fliers, please let me know and I can send you some. Please share my contact information with students or anyone that has an interest with these events or anything with the school!
