Drawing and Design

Wild Day #1

Please follow the link below to complete your first Wild Day assignment/activity. The link will bring you to an artist talking about and showing a Contour Drawing. A contour drawing is a drawing of the outside shapes/edges of objects, people, etc. Specifically, the video talks about a continuous contour line drawing in which the pencil or pen is not taken off the paper. It is a really great exercise for you to train your eye to look for proportion. I would like you to watch the video and then complete your own continuous contour line drawing on a person, picture, or with a mirror. You will need a piece of paper and a drawing utensil. Do your best to not lift your utensil off your paper during this exercise.

Please email me at khendraj@zmsch.k12.mn.us with any questions that you may have regarding this assignment. There will be points given for this assignment in addition to being your attendance for the day we were not in school. Have Fun!
