“Zumbrota Mazeppa Schools: A Bridge to the Future

My name is Mrs. Sjolander. I have been teaching for 18 years, 17 of those years I have been at Zumbrota-Mazeppa! I am married and have three children. My husband’s name is Lee. I have two boys, Corey (28) and Bryant (26) and a daughter, Layla (17) that is a senior at ZMHS. I also love animals and have a lot of furry family members too!

This year I have taken a new position as the Achievement and Integration Coordinator for the district and am also a Peer Coach. This new role has taken me out of the traditional classroom environment and has given me a chance to work on various interventions, enrichment activities and extensions for our students. My goal is to help all of my students become responsible learners and instill a lifelong love of learning!  I hold high expectations for all of my students, both in academics and behavior. I work hard at establishing a classroom atmosphere of respect, cooperation, and compassion.
