Dean of Students/Instructional coach
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am excited to embark upon my 18th year as a Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougar! Originally from Zumbro Falls, I earned my BA from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. I also have a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from St. Mary’s University and a K-12 Principal license through Winona State. I live in Zumbrota with my wife, Steph, and our two children (and our dog Teddy). We love making music, spending time outdoors, and playing board games.
At ZM, I serve as the Curriculum and Staff Development Coordinator for the district, an Instructional Coach for K-2 teachers, and Dean of Students in the Middle/High School. Through all my roles I work closely with our staff and faculty to provide the best curriculum, instruction, and school culture possible.
One thing I am certain about when it comes to ZM is that we have an AMAZING team of teachers, paraprofessionals, and staff working together for our students. I am proud to be a Cougar and can’t wait to see what the year brings!
