3-on-3 Basketball League - 2-5th Grade (2024-25)
Fun and supportive 3-on-3 League for boys and girls. Each week we will introduce and practice very basic game skills (defensive positioning, v cuts, ball screens and off-the ball screens). Teams will count off into new teams each week so everyone gets experience playing with different teammates. Players get to track their wins and defensive points against throughout the league for prizes. Instructor: Emily Buehler O’Leary

Mayo Clinic Health System will include sports physicals as part of a comprehensive well-child examination, which fully assesses a student athlete’s overall health.
A new exam is unnecessary if a student athlete has had a well-child examination within the past 12 months. The sports physical form can be submitted through Mayo Clinic Health System’s patient portal or dropped off at the provider’s clinic for signature. Please allow 3–4 business days for a signature if dropping off the form.
Appointments for well-child examinations are required and can be conveniently scheduled through Mayo Clinic Health System’s patient portal, the Mayo Clinic app or by calling 507-433-8758. Insurance will be billed for the well-child exam.
In Zumbrota, we have added extra appointment times specifically for these visits: Thursday, July 24, 1pm – 5pm.

Our students just returned from an unforgettable adventure! Highlights included staying in a rainforest lodge, snorkeling, hiking an active volcano, ziplining through the rainforest canopy, white water rafting, kayaking around a volcano, relaxing in volcanic hot springs, exploring the Panama Canal, surfing, and spotting monkeys and other wildlife on a boat ride on Gatun Lake.
The trip wrapped up with a lively folklore evening in Panama City, making memories to last a lifetime. ¡Qué experiencia increíble! ¡Pura vida! 🌺🌊🌋🐒🎶

Who says summer school isn’t fun😎? Amusement Park Themed week for Cougar Academy this week! We learned how cotton candy is made, and we got to eat it! Then we were enthralled with learning about chain reactions. We got to make our very own chain reactions and explore with dominoes. 🐾Go Cougars 🐾
The City of Zumbrota will be putting blacktop down on Mill Street, Tuesday and Wednesday (June 24 & 25). You will be able to enter and exit the Childcare and Primary School lots to drop off and pick you your children for programs, but please allow for additional time for pick-up/drop-off. There will be no parking on Mill Street. Thank you for your patience during this time.
Watercolors - 3-6th Grade (2024-25)
In this hands-on watercolor class, young artists will explore the exciting world of watercolor painting! Whether they’re completely new to art or have some experience, this class is designed to spark creativity and help students develop their skills in a supportive and fun environment.
Basic Techniques: Students will learn essential watercolor techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and gradient blending, helping them create beautiful effects with minimal supplies.
Exploration of Color: Kids will experiment with mixing and layering colors to create vibrant and unique pieces.
All materials will be provided, including watercolor paints, brushes, and paper, so students can focus on learning and experimenting without needing to bring anything from home. Join one class or attend both to continue to work on your watercolor skills and create another piece! Instructor: Amanda Sand

In this hands-on class, young participants will learn the art of creating beautiful and unique floral arrangements using wooded flowers and greenery! Participants will be guided through the process of assembling wooded flowers in a container into a stunning, custom arrangement. Today, we had 17 trap shooters from ZM compete in Alexandria at the State tournament. Three of them shot a perfect score; Mason Counsell, Gavin Hostager, and Bryan Stelzner! Well done, team!
Sports physicals are required in order to participate in MSHSL events beginning in 7th grade or first year participating,and must be renewed every three years (typically entering 10th grade). Attached is information from OMC. We will share info from Mayo Clinic when available.
