Each Friday, our kindergartners and second graders team up for a STEM project. Our kindergarteners have been learning about taking care of the earth! We developed a project to reduce, reuse, and recycle by creating something new with various items! Below are pictures from Herzig, Seyffer, and Jensrud's classrooms!

Congratulation to our March Students of the Month at the Elementary School! We recognized them today at our assembly. Keep up the great work!


Mrs. Nelson's second-grade class visited the HS Computer Graphics class and gained hands-on experience with the robots, engraver and 3-D printer.








Kindergarten Registration/Open House has been scheduled for April 9th from 4:30pm-6:00pm at the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Primary Building. When you arrive you will receive your Safari Passport to Learning Card, which will be your informational guide to make sure you obtain all necessary information to make your child's kindergarten year a success!


Today's softball games v Caledonia (7/JV/V) have been postponed due to the cold temperatures. Make up date is TBD.


The Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa Gymnastics Team is selling water softener salt as a fundraiser.

First-grade is learning about fossils and how they make imprints in rocks. We made fossils with dinosaur bones and clay today!






Thank you to Mrs. Dreyer for going above and beyond the classroom walls! Mrs. Dreyer has been having fun opening her classroom early to school to spread kindness to her students! The hair salon is open before school to add a little sparkle to their days! Lots of smiles!

We experimented with Volcanos and how magma changes to lava as the volcano erupts. This is part of our knowledge unit on “The History of the Earth!”
We learned about habitats and animals and then had the opportunity for a family to bring in baby chicks! What a great hands on learning opportunity!

It's Opening Day for spring activities at ZM, as the C softball team hosts Mayo at 4:30.
A reminder to all fans, parents and students: Please be respectful of school grounds and our neighbors when parking. We know parking is limited, but do no block sidewalks, driveways, mailboxes and fire hydrants or park in private driveways. Only authorized school personnel my drive or park on school grounds. Primary Students have been utilizing their problem-solving skills to address challenges. So much fun participating in engaging activities, including unplugged coding (using Lucky Charms), hop-scotch coding, color coding with Ozobots, and building bird nests to welcome spring!








Today was Marble Maze Day in 2nd Grade. We had so much fun using the engineering process to imagine, plan, create and improve play. Our students are so creative and enjoyed the project!
