🎶 ZM 4th Graders Explore the World of Music! 🎶
Our 4th graders recently had a blast at an instrument petting zoo in Mazeppa! A group of talented high school band students visited, played a few fun tunes, and shared what makes their instruments unique.
As students rotated around the room, they had the chance to try their own mouthpieces and even hold the instruments to see what it feels like to play. 🎺🎷
We’re excited that all of these students will have the opportunity to join band in 5th grade if they choose—what a great way to spark a love for music! 🎼✨

The National Honor Society along with ZMHS/MS staff and students donated food and money for the food shelves of Mazeppa and Zumbrota. We collected over 500 pounds of food! Thank you to all for your time and generous donations to make this fund-raiser such a success!
1st grade has been learning about the 4 layers of the earth and what creates volcanoes. Yesterday, Mrs. Boraas and her class used vinegar and baking soda to make volcanoes.

Due to the weather and school being canceled today, the 1st & 2nd Grade Basketball League scheduled for tonight is canceled.
Good afternoon ZM Families,
Due to the current weather conditions and the forecast for continued snowfall and strong winds overnight, Zumbrota–Mazeppa Public Schools will implement a Weather Impacted Learning Day (WILD) for tomorrow, Monday, March 16th.
Our area remains under a Blizzard Warning until 7:00 a.m., and forecasts indicate additional snow and increasing winds tonight that could create poor visibility and difficult travel conditions for the morning commute.
I understand how important advance notice is for families when schedules change, so I wanted to communicate this decision as early as possible today. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Students should follow the guidance provided by their teachers for learning activities tomorrow.
Please note that Cougar Care and Bright Beginnings will also be closed tomorrow due to the weather conditions.
