Unlock your full potential with Yoga in Mazeppa, every other Friday from June 13 to August 8th at 8 AM at the Community Center. Bring a yoga mat, water & wear light clothing. $60 for the package for all sessions or $15 drop in. Certified instructor Deanna Tupper will guide you through traditional yoga & mediation for relaxation & rejuvenation for the mind, body and spirit before the weekend!

Today our middle school band and choir performed at Valleyfair. Of course, there still was time for some fun as well! Thank you to the ZM education foundation for funding our performance trip this year!




A group of students in 3-5 grades were selected to attend the Young Authors Young Artists conference at RCTC May 22. They attended specific classes related to art and writing, they had a lot of fun. This conference was arranged by Southeast Service Coop.


Mrs. Seyffer's Kindergarten Class! Today we are U-unlocking our way to the end of the alphabet in our ABC countdown! We used keys with addition equations to find the matching lock, then ordered our unlocked numbers on a number line up to 20!









Zumbrota-Mazeppa 2nd grade students celebrated the completion of the 2nd grade DARE program. Over the course of 8 lessons, students learned valuable skills to keep them safe at school, at home and in the community. Lessons include topics such as:
-Who to call in an emergency
-Signs and signals
-How to be safe both at home and outside
- what to do when someone you don’t know approaches you
- Empathy
- how to recognize and report bullying
This year for graduation, Deputy Tiedemann surprised the classes with all new footballs, basketballs, soccer balls and kickballs to be used at recess. They were also treated with root beer floats served up by members of The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office command staff. Students then wasted no time putting the new equipment to good use on the playground!








Today, we celebrated the work of our school house construction class with an end-of-year cookout. Over the course of the school year, I visited on-site many times and was able to watch students implement various skills that they have learned in Mr. Roth's class. Their attention to detail is on full display with this house! Well done, Mr. Roth and students!




The letter S for the Kindergarten ABC Countdown was science day! Mrs. Decker's Class made play-doh volcanos and then put baking soda and vinegar inside to see the reaction! It was a day full of learning, teamwork, and fun!

With the support of our local Special Olympics, we successfully hosted our inaugural County Wide annual track and field day this week. We were excited to share the experience with local school districts, including Cannon Falls, Goodhue County Education District, Red Wing, Kenyon-Wanamingo and Goodhue. We are grateful for the support of our staff and students, who helped facilitate the event. It was truly an unforgettable day!

Kids Seed Planting - K-6th Grade (2024-25)
In this hands-on gardening class, kids will have the opportunity to connect with nature by planting their very own flower seeds! Here's what they’ll do: pick their own flower seeds, plant the seeds, learn how to care for it, and watch it GROW! This seed planting class will not only be fun and creative but will also help children learn valuable skills, like patience, responsibility, and an appreciation for nature. Instructor: Jessie Karshen

Lions and tigers and bears! Oh my! The 3rd Annual Third Grade Zoo took place today! Students wrapped up their ecology unit by studying an animal and then dressing the part!

The 4th graders traveled back in time to experience Ellis Island today. A big thank you to the many volunteers who helped make this simulation possible!

ZM Grad and MN FFA State Reporter Natalie Clemenson presented Mr. John Stapleton with a certificate in recognition for Mentor and Administration Appreciation. Natalie is continuing her education at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls for Dairy Science.
