Lil’ Baseball Summer League - Pre-K-2nd Grade (2024-25)
Building on the ZM Baseball Tee Ball/Peewee program, this parent-led league offers a low player-to-coach ratio for personalized instruction. Teams are grouped by age, with station-based skill development and a focus on baseball fundamentals in a fun, supportive environment. Each night features instructional intramural games where kids learn while playing! Please bring a water bottle, tennis shoes or rubber cleats, and a glove. Parent coaches needed, the child’s registration fee will be waived for volunteering, please contact the CE office for more information or to sign up as a coach. Pre-K must be accompanied by an adult at each practice. Register by Thursday, June 12th to guarantee a T-shirt. Instructor: Greg Mort

2025 Dance Camp - Grades K – 6 (2024-25)
During camp week we will focus on basic dance skills such as stretching, leaps, turns, and kicks. We will learn a variety of skills through fun and engaging drills, they will also learn a small routine to perform on the last day of camp! ZM dance coaches will be running the camp along with the ZM dance team members. We look forward to working with you! After completing their farm unit in class, the kindergarten students took an exciting field trip to a local dairy farm. The children had the opportunity to see cows up close and learn how milk gets from the farm to the store. They also explored the barn, held baby chicks, sat in tractors, had ice cream and many more fun activities. The trip was both fun and educational, helping students connect what they learned in the classroom to real-life experiences on the farm.
There will be an informational meeting for those who are in ZMHS Choir 2025-2026 school year and are interested in going to Nashville, TN on tour from March 18-22, 2026. Sunday, May 4th at 7pm in the choir room.

A delicious meal will be served prior to the performance, you will have a choice from nine entrees. The entrée will include bread and your choice of coffee, tea, water or milk. The fee includes coach bus transportation, delicious lunch, and theatre ticket. The deadline to register is Wednesday, May 28th or when full. Students in the National Honor Society brought in spring fun and cleaning buckets that were donated to the Zumbrota and Mazeppa area food shelves. Such a fun way for our kids to donate to those in our small towns!

One of my favorite days of the year is pulling into town and seeing our senior banners up in both communities! Thank you to both the City of Mazeppa and City of Zumbrota for installing these banners and helping us celebrate our seniors! I’d also like to thank the Mazeppa Lions club for sponsoring this endeavor. Exactly one month from today we will be formally celebrating each one of our seniors at our graduation ceremony!
This morning I joined some of our students and Mr. Albers as they competed in the SE MN Welding Competition, hosted by Local 6 Plumbers and Pipefitters. I addition to the competition, participants were able to join break-out sessions to learn from professionals, and visit with local businesses to explore various career opportunities within the field. Nice work, students!

Happy Earth Day! Today, Mrs. Nelson's Class had fun making Insect Hotels. We 3D printed hexagonal shapes then filled them with materials from nature and set them up around the playground for homes for insects. We will be checking on them periodically. Also, Mrs. Liebenow's Class took a break to pick up trash around the school grounds!
Tomorrow (4/23), the ZM Student Government will be hosting a mock crash in conjunction with Prom Week. Please do not be alarmed by police or ambulance vehicles on site.
